Te Tūāpapa Kura Kāinga - The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) leads Aotearoa New Zealand's housing and urban development work programme.

Mō te tūnga | About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced senior digital advisor to join a busy Engagement and Communications Team. The role provides high-quality, user-focused digital and content advice and support across our digital channels including the HUD website, social media and intranet.

Mōu | About you
You have proven experience working at a strategic level, leading the development and implementation of digital strategy, standards, policies and processes. Taking a hands-on approach, you'll be able to provide trusted digital guidance, advice and support to the business; manage and develop our digital channels; identify opportunities for continuous improvement; and write and edit compelling content.
We are looking for someone with a collaborative working style, who is a great team player. You'll be able to work under pressure to tight deadlines in a complex environment.
The salary range for this role is $97,771 - $119,498.

**What you'll bring to the role**:

- Demonstrated experience in a digital communications role
- Ability to develop, implement and evaluate digital strategy, standards, policies and processes
- Excellent project and time management skills - able to handle multiple competing projects including BAU and major project work involving implementation of website enhancements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including writing, editing and proof-reading content for internal and external channels, including websites, intranets, newsletters, and social media
- A strong understanding of user experience (UX) principles and best practice
- Experience interpreting and translating web analytics into meaningful recommendations for improvements
- Knowledge and understanding of government web standards and web content best practice, including accessibility, search engine optimisation and plain language
- Up-to-date with the latest digital trends, techniques and technologies
- Practical experience with content management systems (preferably Silverstripe) and M365 products.
