**About this role | Mo tenei turanga**

As a Senior Advisor, Channels and Publishing you will play an instrumental role in providing advice and guidance to support the development, delivery and continuous improvement of how curriculum content and supporting resources are delivered to schools, kura and early learning services.

You will act as a trusted adviser, collaborating closely with team members and suppliers to guide and support the delivery of print and digital resources and to manage the Tahurangi website.

You will help to identify risks and issues and provide analysis and advice in planning, designing and managing publishing projects. Your contribution will support decision making and quality outputs.

Key requirements of this role include:

- Ability to confidently work in an online digital platform, including providing guidance and support for other teams.
- Ability to plan, manage and implement print and digital resource development, including providing guidance and support for other teams.
- Comfortable in managing and coordinating work with suppliers, including contract and project management.
- Excellent writing skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain documentation and provide input into continual improvements in the delivery of services.
- Ability to contribute to design and development of projects and initiatives across teams.
- A level of capability to confidently work in our channels and publishing projects independently and with others.

You will bring a collaborative style to your work with the confidence to manage relationships at all levels and achieve multiple outcomes. You will have the ability to navigate complex issues with ease, demonstrated experience to work at pace, and deliver smart solutions to critical requests.

You will also offer:

- Comfortable with Microsoft office products.
- Previous publishing experience is desirable.
- An understanding of national curriculum and Aotearoa New Zealand's education sector is desirable.
- The ability to meet deadlines and timeframes in a credible and timely manner.
- Sound judgement and proactive approach to problem solving and knowing when to escalate if needed.
- Strong interpersonal skills, to be able to collaborate and build credible relationships quickly and positively.
- Knowledge of digital accessibility standards and practices.
- Ability to navigate dynamic environments and deliver beneficial outcomes.
- Project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver on a range of initiatives.
- The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.

**About our group and team | Matau ropu ake**

The purpose of Te Poutahu is to lead the national curricula for Aotearoa New Zealand and associated systems and processes of assessment and aromatawai.

We design, develop and provide curriculum services for teachers, kaiako, leaders, akonga, their whanau and communities that reflect their identities, languages and cultures. We bring together curriculum, teaching expertise and evidence for the development, support and review of inclusive curricula, assessment and NCEA. Our strengths are across te reo Maori, matauranga Maori, disability, inclusive learning support and culturally relevant content so that Te Mahau supports learning that is inclusive for all akonga.

We support the people who are closest to, and directly serve, akonga and whanau. We do this through Te Mahau where we connect with the sector, working collaboratively to identify priorities and design local solution.
