Pathways is a leading national provider of community-based mental health, addiction, and wellbeing services in Aotearoa. We are committed to being a good tangata Tiriti and what that means for our organisation. We're all about transforming mental health and addictions through our Pathways (adult) and Real (youth) services. In fact, we have been doing it for over 30 years, supporting around 6,000 people each year.

**Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi**

As the Service and Relationship Manager in Auckland, you will be reporting to the Regional General Manager, and be part of a wider national group of Service and Relationship Managers who form the Pathways and Real leadership group and provide a great support network.

You will have the cultural support of our national and regional Māori leadership to ensure we are tika and pono in all that we do.

You will also have opportunities to develop your own capacity with te reo Māori me ōna tikanga and matauranga Māori. This is a priority for Pathways and Real.

In this role, you will lead and inspire your team coaches to build highly engaged teams that deliver their best for our community-based mental health, addiction, and wellbeing services.

**This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.00pm. The role is based in Tamaki Makaurau and has a second on call component.**

**You | Mōu**

We're looking for an exceptional senior manager, who enjoys a high energy environment to take the reins and support our community-based mental health, addiction and wellbeing services in Auckland. You'll be comfortable working within a Māori context and familiar with te reo Māori me ōna tikanga. You are a dynamic leader, great communicator, a self-starter, happy to work autonomously, compassionate, and a great individual with the ability to inspire those around you.

You'll thrive in the role because you enjoy supporting and mentoring your team, so every member is engaged and able to flourish and provide exceptional service to those we support.
- You're innovative, self-motivated, resilient and an influencer of change, and are passionate about evolving services and growing people.
- You will have an understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how that applies to practice.
- You will have a basic use and understanding of te reo Māori.
- We've mentioned you need to have leadership experience, and great networking abilities, but we need something more. You will have a clinical background with experience working in mental health or addictions and knowledge of the wider health and social sectors, and you'll be focused on providing person-centred care.
- Navigating complex things won't bother you because you're skilled with budgets and contracts, and you're all about building strong collaborative relationships and networks.
- Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of the Te Tiriti Waitangi
- All new appointees require background checking. Under the requirements of the Children's Act 2014, new employees that are identified as coming under this act are required to undergo further safety checks as part of the recruitment process._
- Some health and disability sector employers may require workers to be vaccinated. This is because workers come into close contact with people likely to get seriously ill if they get COVID-19. Having undertaken a thorough health and safety analysis with regards to Covid-19, we have determined that vaccination is required for our workforce (two primary doses and at least one booster)._
- Pathways are committed to healthy lifestyles and actively support a smoke-free environment. We encourage people with experience of mental illness to apply._
