We are partnering with a leading New Zealand technology consultancy that is looking for a motivated, commercially confident Relationship Manager to join their Auckland team early next year. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong IT consulting and software development services experience in the NZ market who enjoys building long-term client partnerships and driving revenue growth.

Our client is open to someone highly experienced who can take ownership of a portfolio of small to mid-sized accounts—what matters most is strong communication, solid IT consulting experience, and a proactive, relationship-driven sales approach.

About the Role:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of clients across IT consulting, software development, and related services
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders—from end users through to senior executives
  • Identify new opportunities, follow up effectively, and close consulting and development engagements
  • Coordinate bid/proposal responses and ensure a smooth handover into delivery
  • Work closely with solution architects, delivery leads, and technical teams
  • Ensure quality delivery, customer satisfaction, and commercial success
  • Represent the organisation professionally across presentations, workshops, and discussions

What We're Looking For Must-haves:

  • Previous account management experience within the New Zealand IT consulting or software development services sector
  • Proven ability to engage in both technical and business-level conversations
  • Demonstrated success managing clients, identifying opportunities, and closing sales
  • Experience in bid management or contributing to RFP/proposal responses
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a collaborative and commercial mindset
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and attention to detail
  • A positive, adaptable attitude with the ability to work well in a team
