We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as one of our new Relationship Managers specifically supporting provider relationships in either Te Tai Tokerau or Tāmaki Makaurau.
These are newly created relationship roles to support collaboration between ACC and key organisations and agencies in these rohe. You will be building strong relationships and ensuring these are managed to support the delivery of local services. You will be the conduit between ACC and our regionally appointed kaupapa Māori panel, iwi, whānau, and our kiritaki contributors.
Our team, Te Rangapū Hauora Māori (Māori Health), is focused on changing the way we respond to the needs of whānau and delivering equitable ACC services for Māori. Te Tiriti principles of equity, options and partnership are at the core of these changes. We want to work closely with Māori organisations and hapori to explore what good services and outcomes look like, now and in the future.
**Some of the important mahi you will be involved in**:
- Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with providers and support relationships with iwi leaders, where appropriate, across specific locations.
- Support reconciliation and connection to broader support for whānau Māori experiencing trauma post-injury.
- Work in partnership with the wider Rangapū Hauora Māori to support and implement our Māori health service management model.
- Provide Mātauranga Māori guidance where needed across the business to support improvements in ACC services.
- Work in partnership with local iwi to promote the success of ACC-funded kaupapa Māori services in Te Tai Tokerau/Tāmaki Makaurau.
- Lead the coordination and facilitation of ACC’s contribution to the kaupapa Māori panel in your region, including assessing and evaluating potential kaupapa Māori providers in Te Tai Tokerau/Tāmaki Makaurau to work with ACC.
- Collaborate with other key agencies e.g. Health, to support the ongoing service delivery of new kaupapa Māori providers in your rohe.
- Build strong internal relationships and share information with other key business units within ACC.
**What we are looking for from you to be a successful Relationship Manager**:
- Demonstrated relevant experience in Māori health and service design.
- Senior level experience with leading and implementing Māori and cultural development frameworks within a complex organisation.
- Good knowledge of te reo and tikanga Māori with a deep understanding of Māori culture and values, alongside strong local iwi networks.
- Mātauranga Māori and the ability to provide mātauranga Māori guidance.
- Strong listening skills, and relationship management skills.
- Experience in mediation and strong negotiation skills.
- Culturally aware with empathy and high emotional intelligence.
- Highly organised and able to manage and prioritise work, including managing stakeholder expectations.
