At CountdownX we are accelerating our ambition to create highly personalised, seamless and connected experiences for our customers. We’re looking for a Chapter Lead to head up our Experience Research & Design team here in Aotearoa.
The Chapter is responsible for creating beautifully crafted, engaging and highly functional/usable experiences across multiple channels and platforms, that enhance our customers’ shopping experiences and the way our brand shows up digitally.
As Chapter Lead you will foster strong relationships across Countdown to deliver initiatives across our digital touchpoints and help to develop our digital strategy for the future.

**About the Role | Mō te Tūranga
- Advocate for the customer in all areas of your work and the business, bringing data-backed insights and a passion for storytelling
- Nurture Chapter members by providing professional development and coaching, ensuring wellbeing and engagement through line management support
- Ensure the work carried out by Chapter members is of a high standard and in line with best practice as defined by the Chapter and Practice
- Engage with Tribe and Squad leads to prioritise customer and business problems, and ensure Chapter members are bringing the customer into the work
- Evangelism & leadership of digital strategy, design thinking, content strategy and customer experience frameworks across CountdownX
- Oversee the experience vision and strategy for your product or experience space, from laddering up into business goals to executing on key research and design activities
- Define and lead the UX research and design process for propositions, experiences and journeys from discovery through to in-life monitoring

To succeed in this role you will have proven leadership capabilities and an ability to foster strong relationships and have a real impact in the team, bringing your strong communication and collaborative abilities. You will see the big picture and partner across multi functions.
- An extraordinary portfolio of work demonstrating 8+ years experience of delivering crafted, consistent and brand aligned UX research and design within a complex customer-focused commercial environment
- A proclivity for strategy in its many forms including business, digital, product and customer experience
- A customer-first mindset, a thirst for data, and an unapologetic drive to bring the customer into every conversation and area of the business
- Excellent communication skills in all forms and the ability to influence and persuade for the best customer and business outcomes
- An experienced people-leader with a values-based approach to leadership and coaching, with a genuine interest in and care for people and a desire to serve
- Strong research skills across a variety of methods including qual/quant, lean/extensive, field/lab, proposition/design testing and the ability to distil findings into core insights
- Capability in core design and prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe CS, InVision, Axure, Zeplin etc) an asset
