Workforce Strategy and Engagement Lead

Mō te tūranga | About the role

As Workforce Strategy & Engagement Lead, you will lead the Enablement Centre of Excellence within the Productivity programme, driving workforce strategy and engagement initiatives. You will shape and execute strategies that enable workforce capability, foster engagement, and support Westpac's productivity goals anchored in a holistic, people-centred transformation framework.

Ko tō mahi | What you'll do

• Define and articulate the future state for the workforce, setting clear change vision, strategy, and measurable outcomes.
• Align business functions, structure, and talent to support the future state, including organisation design, leadership development, and culture transformation.
• Lead the Enablement CoE to embed best practices in workforce enablement, learning, and engagement across the organisation.
• Partner with L&D, Performance, UX, and Change Management to design and deliver people pathways, learning journeys, and readiness programmes.
• Develop and implement change roadmaps, ensuring readiness and adoption through modern communication strategies.
• Monitor and report on engagement and transformation metrics, using insights to drive ongoing improvement.
• Build strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders to identify workforce needs and co-design solutions.

• Proven experience in workforce strategy, organisational development, or people transformation in large, complex programmes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive large-scale change initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at all organisational levels.
• Expertise in designing and implementing engagement, enablement, and learning programmes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline (preferred).
• Strategic thinking, leadership, collaboration, change management, results orientation, and adaptability.
