Key Responsibilities

  • To provide high-quality radiology services to patients across New Zealand.
  • To work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to improve healthcare outcomes.
  • To develop and maintain expertise in sub-speciality areas such as Breast Imaging, Paediatrics, Interventional radiology and General body imaging.

Requirements

">
  • MEDICAL Doctorate degree in medicine.
  • Possession of Fellowship of Royal Australasian College of Radiologists (FRCR) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working as a Radiologist in a similar setting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and other healthcare professionals.

Health New Zealand offers a supportive department that encourages development of special interests where possible, as well as on-going education. The breast imaging Radiologist is part of a dedicated breast service team supported by medical imaging technologists, sonographers, community and administrative teams. Our team works closely and supports services across the district, including Emergency, inpatient and outpatient services.
