About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Breast Radiologist and Clinical Director to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine clinical expertise with leadership skills, driving innovation and excellence in breast radiology and service delivery.

As a Consultant Breast Radiologist (0.6 FTE), you will be responsible for providing high-quality radiological services to patients within the Breast Screening Central and symptomatic breast services. This includes performing invasive diagnostic procedures, equipment evaluation, quality control, interpretation, advice, and support to staff within these services.

As a Clinical Director & Clinical Lead (0.2 FTE), you will lead the development of strategies to ensure that radiology clinical services are delivered in accordance with agreed clinical standards of practice and within the agreed annual business plan. You will also contribute to the strategic direction of the Breast Screen Central and Community Services Division.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Vocationally registered in Radiology with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)

• FRANZCR or equivalent qualification and registration for vocational registration with the MCNZ

• Proficiently active within the BSA programme

• Ability to provide consistently high standards of medical care and leadership direction

• Relevant experience, skills, and clinical and leadership practice

Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary range of $260,000 - $340,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits, including professional development opportunities, flexible work arrangements, and access to a network of professionals for workload management and complex case review.
