Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide Diagnostic Positron Emission Tomography (PET) at our Bowen branch. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic PET procedures in a professional manner, utilizing high-quality data from a PETCT system. They will also be required to maintain professional levels of patient care and comply with moral and ethical codes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To perform a wide range of diagnostic PET procedures in a professional manner
  • Provision of high-quality data utilizing a PETCT system
  • Maintenance of professional levels of patient care and compliance with moral and ethical codes

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to provide clear information to patients and support people. They will also be able to work efficiently with wards and other departmental staff as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • Completion of an approved tertiary diploma or degree or graduate diploma course in Nuclear Medicine Technology (or equivalent)
  • NZ MRTB Registration, with current Scope of Practice in Nuclear Medicine
  • Additional CT Scope of practice is advantageous
