Salary: The salary range for this role is $104,885 - $148,073. Starting salaries reflect skills and experience relevant to the role with offers generally made between $104,885- $123,394.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Communications & Engagement Advisor to work closely with our teams in central Wellington. As a senior communications professional, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing effective communication and engagement strategies across the agency. Your expertise will drive successful initiatives, build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to achieving our agency's goals.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Develop engagement and communication strategies, working collaboratively with relevant teams
- Lead the development of communications materials, including those for the Minister's office
- Co-ordinate and lead on engagements and events for various work programmes, including the establishment of the Social Investment Fund
- Provide expert advice on engagement best practices to drive successful initiatives
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience developing and implementing communications and engagement strategies
- Excellent writing, editing, and oral communications skills
- Strong relationship management and influencing skills, with a proven ability to build effective relationships with senior leaders
- Experience in stakeholder management and relationship building
- A proactive approach, with initiative to take ownership and a willingness to support the wider team
