About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Regional Quality and Patient Safety Director to lead our efforts in the Central Region.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support quality and patient safety systems at the regional level
  • Collaborate with leadership teams to formulate strategic direction
  • Ensure safe, high-quality patient care aligns with Health New Zealand goals
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in guiding healthcare initiatives
  • Deep understanding of clinical governance and healthcare quality principles
  • Leadership skills to build positive working relationships and create a collaborative environment
Requirements
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in quality and patient safety within the health sector
  • Relevant health qualification and clinical experience essential
  • Knowledge of New Zealand Health Legislation
  • Understanding of risk management and Maori cultural competence
