We are seeking a highly experienced Regional Quality and Patient Safety Lead to join our team in the Central Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting all Quality and Patient Safety systems and processes at the regional level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Spearhead the development and implementation of quality and patient safety strategies to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvement initiatives and optimize patient outcomes.
  • Provide expert guidance on clinical governance, risk management, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles to inform decision-making.
About You

You are a seasoned leader with a proven track record in guiding initiatives within the healthcare sector. Your deep understanding of clinical governance and quality principles is complemented by excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements
  • Relevant health qualification and clinical experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in quality and patient safety.
  • Knowledge of New Zealand Health Legislation and risk management principles.
  • Competency in te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
