Senior Accounts Payable Job Summary

About the Role

  • Operational Support – Troubleshoot and resolve ERP and accounts payable system issues, providing on-site support to overseas shared services to ensure timely resolution.
  • Leadership – Lead the migration to a new AP system, oversee AP related projects, and ensure business units adhere to global standard processes. Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance AP KPIs.
  • Compliance & Training – Perform quality checks on SOPs and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Provide training for new and existing users on AP processes.
  • Team Management – Mentor a small team, set performance expectations, prioritise tasks effectively, and drive professional growth.
  • Project Work – Collaborate with overseas shared services and BPO teams to enhance efficiency, support vendor master data management, and resolve invoice payment queries.

What You Need to Succeed

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 5 years' experience in accounts payable or a related accounting function.
  3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and excellent analytical skills.
  4. Experience with SAP or other ERP systems and proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  5. Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
  6. Leadership experience, including mentoring a team and driving process improvement.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams.
