**About Us**
Southern Cross Travel Insurance is a leading provider of travel insurance solutions in New Zealand and Australia. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer experiences and providing assurance to our customers during their travels.
The **Claims Team** plays a vital role in this process, handling claims from various backgrounds and ensuring that our customers receive the support they need. As a Claims Assessor, you will be responsible for:
- Identifying customer needs and providing practical solutions to claims
- Managing administrative tasks such as processing claims and customer communications
- Assessing claims in-line with policy wording using sound judgment
- Delivering exceptional customer experiences with efficiency and empathy
**Work Pattern**
We operate between 8:30am and 7:00pm, Monday to Friday, with hybrid work options available after completing a 6-week training induction in our Auckland office.
**Requirements**
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in an insurance environment, preferably with claims assessment experience
- Superb written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey messages to varied audiences
- Great problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Resilience to work well under pressure while remaining empathetic to every customer's needs
