FMCG Business Development Manager

About the RoleWe are seeking a Key Account Manager for Foodstuffs South Island (FSSI) to join our Sales Team. As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing key accounts, planning and executing promotional programs, forecasting, and TPM management. You will also build strong relationships at multi-levels within the FSSI business, negotiate deals, develop NPD and Big-Bet activation plans, and execute with the FSSI Field Team.
Key Responsibilities- Manage key accounts for New World, Pak N Save, Four Square, and Trent's
- Plan and execute promotional programs
- Forecast and manage TPM
- Build strong relationships at multi-levels within the FSSI business
- Negotiate deals to deliver annual sales targets
- Develop NPD and Big-Bet activation plans
- Execute plans with the FSSI Field Team
- Minimum 3 years' experience in FMCG industry preferably with experience in Field Sales, Category Management, or Key Accounts
- Centralised buying & FS commercial negotiation experience highly advantageous
- A commercially astute, analytical individual with experience in promotional modelling to drive sustainable growth
- Field experience highly advantageous
- Tertiary qualification or Bachelor's Degree in Business or similar
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, IRI (Unify), and Dunnhumby
- Excellent communication skills – oral and written
- Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated strengths in presentation, negotiation, and influencing
- Proven strength in prioritization and time management skills
