About the Role
We're embarking on an exciting phase of change and growth in our newly designed Māori Innovation Team. This role has been created to provide high quality analytical and programme support, accessing data, providing insights and giving advice that informs operational decisions and improves the team's capability to deliver on Ngā Pou o te Piriti, the Māori strategy.

**In your daily role you will**:

- Act as the Front Door to the Māori Innovation Team, including managing Māori customer enquiries
- Provide project management support for Callaghan Innovation's Māori strategy and programmes that support the kaupapa of the Māori Innovation team
- Support cross-organisational strategy delivery and programmes that achieve Māori outcomes
- Collect and analyse performance of key programmes and identify trends, issues and opportunities for improvement and enhance performance
- Proactively identify other areas which would benefit from analysis and improvement
- Champion and communicate the kaupapa of the Māori Innovation team across Callaghan Innovation

About You
You bring strong organisation, project support and administration coordination experience and an understanding of Māori culture, values, and language; adeptness in gathering and using data to inform and support change and drive initiatives that address the needs and aspirations of Maori communities within the innovation sector; leveraging experience in research, reporting, project and relationship management. The ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights is key.

**You bring with you**:

- Experience in a similar role providing reporting, data insights and project management support
- Previous experience in research and performance monitoring
- Political acumen - understanding the workings and functions of government on the principles of te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Proficiency in Te Reo me ōna tikanga me ngā mātauranga Māori
- Ability to develop and maintain effective professional working relationships, with a range of stakeholders
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
