The National Library of New Zealand, Te Puna Mātauranga o Aotearoa sits within the Information and Knowledge Services branch, the Department's epicentre of information management, culture, and heritage.

We collect, preserve, and protect the documentary heritage of New Zealand, support other libraries, and collaborate with the international library community.
We're looking for a full time, permanent Business Support Coordinator to join our team in Auckland supporting our two Auckland Directors from the National Library leadership team. You will play a crucial role in supporting the Kaihautū Director Ratonga Māori directing and uplifting the support to our Te Pouhuaki National Librarian to drive Māori work programs across the organisation. You will also be supporting our Director of Literacy and Learning who leads the teams delivering nationwide services for school communities, national reading initiatives and support for library development and literacy.

**To be successful in this role you will need**:
- excellent verbal and writing skills including ability to tailor cultural material to meet the needs of directorates and departmental requirements.
- experience managing and coordinating Director's diaries, ensuring efficient scheduling of meetings, prioritising commitments appropriately and resolving potential conflicts.
- experience drafting agendas, recording minutes and actions, liaising with attendees.
- experience scheduling workshops, meetings, online forums, etc, and overseeing the logístical requirements.
- excellent interpersonal skills
- has a good understanding of tikanga Māori.
- Knowledge of or a willingness to upskill or grow Te Reo Māori capability.
- Be hands on and flexible
- high proficiency in Microsoft word, excel and outlook programs.
- have financial administration experience raising purchase orders and goods receipting.
**Other requirements**:
- Business Administration Diploma (or similar)
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
