**Kōrero mō te tūranga | **About the Role**
The Māori Nurse Educator will support and foster the education of Māori Registered nurses through the Huarahi Whakatū PDRP programme (an online nursing council accredited professional development recognition programme specifically tailored by and for Māori Registered Nurses). This role is permanent and on a part-time basis. Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating the delivery of the Huarahi Whakatū programme to Māori Registered Nurses
- Provide Quarterly reports to the Nursing Council of New Zealand
- Identify and support Māori registered nurses' education and professional development based on knowledge of service needs and aligned with Huarahi Whakatū programme
- Maintain relationships with Nursing Council of New Zealand, college of mental health nurses, council of Māori nurses and other national bodies supportive of Māori Registered Nurses, Whatu Ora and Te Aka Wahiora.

**About 'You'**
- Experience as a Registered Nurse with current annual practice certificate
- Experience with clinical and Te Ao Māori approach in teaching and mentoring in small and large groups and the ability to tailor information presented appropriately to promote understanding for your audience
- Inclusive of all cultures and respectful of diverse beliefs, protocols and practices
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with other relevant key stakeholders
- Proactivity in ensuring nursing documentation and resources are kept current with regular reviews
