**About the contract**:
Our enterprise size client has been given approval for replacement of an aging Patient Administration System (PAS). This is a significant technical and business change initiative that will be a multi-year complex business change project. This project will impact on various areas of the business, as the PAS currently serves as the primary administrative solution.

Within this project, there are also plans for clinical-based changes, specifically focusing on the Emergency Department and surgical services. The replacement of the PAS, along with anticipated functional and process improvements, will play a crucial role in enabling the implementation of new care models. This will contribute to addressing equity concerns, enhancing digital maturity, and fostering a human-centric & family focused approach within the organization.

**About the role**:
The main responsibility of the Training Specialist is to support the Training Lead and project team in implementing effective training solutions and ensuring that learning resources are suitable for their intended purpose. This involves providing analysis, advice, and guidance to ensure that users can understand and proficiently utilize new technology and business processes.

Working alongside the Training Lead, the Training Specialist will:

- Conduct a comprehensive training needs analysis and maintain it as an ongoing process.
- Design instructional materials for multimedia learning platforms.
- Develop learning pathways that align with accreditation frameworks.
- Assist in the accreditation process for learning programs.
- Create a framework to measure training effectiveness, including tracking attendance and assessing learning competency and completion.
- Support and train "Train the Trainers" sessions.
- Facilitate training workshops as outlined in the training plan and strategy.
- Monitor and evaluate the overall effectiveness of training delivered by trainers to users.
- Identify opportunities for improving training practices and help integrate training content into the business.

Additionally, the Training Specialist will collaborate with the Change Workstream and the organization's business teams to:

- Customize, document, and deliver training modules, plans, and materials according to framework standards, tailored to specific Directorates, roles, end users, and key users.
- Assist in developing the framework for the Change Practitioner Upskill program, including assessments and accreditation, as directed.

The Training Specialist will provide backup support for trainers and step in to train end users as needed. This role requires a high level of flexibility to manage the expectations and competing priorities of various stakeholders with demanding needs.
- Tertiary qualification in Adult Education or a related field, and/or Adult Teaching qualifications.
- 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in facilitation, learning, and/or coaching, including developing and delivering training in a large organization, project, or program.
- Ability to coach other Trainers and enhance their design, development, delivery, and evaluation skills.
- Skill in supporting individuals from diverse cultural, educational, and professional backgrounds in learning new skills and behaviors.
- Experience in instructional design for a wide range of users.
- Proficiency in designing and developing online training content.
- Competency in using multimedia platforms in various learning environments.
- Knowledge of training outcomes and ability to conduct comprehensive training needs analyses using appropriate statistical techniques.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately process, analyze, and interpret large volumes of information.
- Understanding of the needs of adult learners and the different stages of the learning process.
- Familiarity with best practice training methodologies.
- Experience with a variety of learning technologies.
- Experience in developing and facilitating face-to-face training.
- Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proficient in logístical/scheduling and training coordination skills, including prioritization and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Track record of supporting others and demonstrating energy, drive, and persistence in completing activities and tasks.
- Skilled in engaging with internal and external stakeholders at various levels within an organization, particularly on significant or high-profile projects.
