**Purpose of the role**:
We are currently seeking an outstanding individual to join our team of Dog Care Specialists on a fixed term, full time position (ending 30 June 2024) to work 75 hours per fortnight based on a shift roster system including weekends. This role will entail ensuring the physical and temperamental well-being and security of all assigned dogs is maintained along with a maximum hygienic environment.

Based at Guide Dog Services in Manurewa, Auckland, you will be ensuring all puppies and dogs are prepared to their full guide dog potential with a key focus on the areas of general development, training, health welfare and temperament.

**What we are looking for**:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with dogs
- Specialist aptitude and understanding of handling dogs of all ages
- Flexibility around shift patterns
- The ability to work weekends
- Intermediate MS Office skills
- Current New Zealand Driver’s License
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- The ability to report fluently via written communication and have basic computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
