**Job Description**:
As our Business Development Lead - Wholesale, or as we call the National BARECA Specialist internally, it’s your mission to drive additional business in the wholesale café market. You will do this by showcasing JDE brands and the latest espresso machinery in an engaging and meaningful way to win new business as well as showing our current BARECA (bars, restaurants and cafes) customers in New Zealand the high-quality coffee we have on offer. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, your primary focus will be to drive long term sales growth through securing high value new Cafe business. This role will focus in Auckland but support the national sales team.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

- Identify and secure high value new Café business opportunities
- Work closely with the JDE field & key account sales team to uncover growth opportunities
- Work closely with the broader JDE internal stakeholders to build Café Acquisition strategies.
- Showcase our incredible portfolio of coffee offerings to our BARECA customers
- Utilise your coffee expertise to support all coffee formats and brands and deliver coffee education sessions
- Design and deliver coffee training packages to meet needs of customers and internal stakeholders

For this role as a Business Development Lead, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

- Prior Coffee Industry expertise (coffee sales, barista, coffee professional, hospitality background) is essential
- Proven success in identifying and converting high value, new business opportunities will be highly regarded
- Strong negotiation and business acumen skills are very important
- Results focused with very strong planning and multi-tasking capabilities to build and articulate a long-term strategy
- Open to travel to clients and prospects across the North and South Island regularly
- Valid driver’s license and NZ working rights
