This is a great opportunity for an innovative communications and marketing specialist to join our energetic regional team and help drive positive outcomes for New Zealanders across the Wellington region.
About you
Ideally you will be an experienced communication and marketing professional who can manage competing communication demands and develop and enhance positive community relationships. Primarily, you will be a relationship manager with energy and innovative ideas as well as a person able to proactively de-escalate reputational and brand risks with ease.
You will need to have exposure working across multiple digital channels with proven ability to pull insights to measure success and engagement. There will definitely be some travel around the region, so a full driver's licence is essential.

About the role
Reporting to the Regional Commissioner, you will manage a varied portfolio across communications and marketing, stakeholder engagement, media liaison and brand/reputation management. Your working week will be a balance of time in the office to meet deadlines and getting out and about engaging with people from all walks of life.
Writing for internal and external audiences is a key part of the role. You'll help to promote and embed plain English principles across our communications to ensure our messaging is clear consistent and easily accessible for those who need our support. You'll be a confident and effective communicator, passionate about telling our stories through a range of mediums. You'll be comfortable whipping up videos for our online channels, that illustrate the breadth and depth of the work we do, and the difference we're making for NZ'ers, whanau and communities.
You'll get to know our teams based in nine service centres across Wellington and Kapiti, the different groups we partner with, and our local employers.

**Salary range**: $83,011.00 - $101,458.00
