**Senior Communications & Engagement Advisor**:
**Immediate start**
**Contract role possibility it could lead to a permanent position**
Our client is looking for a Senior Communications & Engagement Advisor to join their team with an immediate start to help cover a project they are working on. This role provides operational support to the team leader and high-quality advice across the organisation we are looking for an individual offering extensive communications experience who can come in and hit the ground running.
**Reporting to the Team Leader of Communication and Engagement key responsibilities will include**:
- Plan and deliver innovative communication and engagement activities
- Implement communication strategies
- Ensure media are responded to in a timely and consistent manner
- Drive and deliver best practise community engagement activities
We are looking for someone with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills. You will be able to work with a diverse range of stakeholders and will be responsible for mentoring team coordinators and managing workloads.
**What you will offer**:
- At least 3 years experience in a communications and engagement role, or similar
- The ability to work autonomously and prioritise your workload
- Advanced written and presentation skills
- Understanding of digital communication channels and how to use them effectively
Previous experience working in local government would be preferred, however is not essential,
