**Mō tēnei tūranga - About the role**:
The Principal Communications and Engagement Advisor role sits at the heart of the Directorate and you will contribute to our national communications and engagement strategy and our stakeholder engagement programme. In addition, you will work across a range of BAU deliverables, supporting the wider team.

**Ko tāu nā i tēnei tūranga - What you’ll bring to the role**:
Jump into this fixed term position using your existing and broad range of experience across communications and stakeholder engagement. You will be comfortable operating across an organisation and used to operating at a senior level. You will have a strong attention to detail and a commitment to plain English. Your strong and clearly demonstrated strategic thinking and nous will be integral to being successful in this position.

**To be successful in this role, we’d expect you will have**:

- Extensive and demonstrated strategic communications and stakeholder engagement experience
- A proven ability to provide communications and engagement advice and drive change
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to diverse audiences
- Excellent broad-based communications skills, a keen attention to detail and a developed ability to prioritise
- A continuous improvement mindset.

**The salary range for this role is $148,798 - $165,332 (pro rata), dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.**
