The National Public Health Service within Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.

We have the opportunity available for a **Senior Stakeholder and Communications Advisor** to join our team in a permanent, full-time role.

The Whiti Ora team leads on social marketing, communications and digital for the National Public Health Service. We play a key role in implementing health promotion for Aotearoa and are at the forefront of innovative approaches globally.

This position takes the lead on engaging key health sector stakeholders on priorities, including immunisation.

**Mōu | About you**

You will be a highly experienced communications professional, with expertise in stakeholder engagement. Your understanding of the health sector, and established networks, will enable you to hit the ground running in this role.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- A relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in a related area (PR, communications, journalism, marketing or relevant workforce experience
- 5-7 years' experience in a stakeholder and/or communications role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of health promotion/public health
- Outstanding relationship building and collaborative skills
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) Act 2022 and obligations of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
