**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
The National Lead Reduction and Assurance is responsible for leading the development and overseeing of multiple programs aimed at identifying and reducing health and emergency risks and their impacts, enhancing the overall well-being of employees or the population, and ensuring the effective use and management of emergency management resources. This role focuses on identifying risks, implementing strategies for risk reduction, and providing assurance that healthcare is prepared for, can respond to and recovery from emergencies.
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- Knowledge and experience in Health and Disability Sector, Health Emergency Management and Civil Defence Emergency Management Sector. Has several years of experience in healthcare or emergency management, with a focus on health recovery and continuous improvement.
- Essential to have led regional and local responses or recovery. Experience in national-led operations is desirable.
- Experienced in transformation and business change is desirable.
