Ventia is seeking an experienced Asset Manager to join their hardworking and dedicated FM team, which proudly supports a large local government Facilities Management contract in the Auckland region.

**ABOUT THE FM CONTRACT**

Ventia have been engaged by Auckland Council to provide Full Facility Management services including planned, preventive and reactive maintenance services, ad hoc services, minor works and soft services, for 8 of Auckland Council local boards, combined into 2 contract area’s called Tahi and Wha.

It is Venita’s ultimate responsibility to ensure that Auckland and its assets are maintained in a manner that: is compliant with statutory guidelines; minimises equipment downtime and whole of life expenditure. Ventia will achieve this through implementing safety, quality and environmental processes, utilising ISO 55000 asset management standards and engaging an experienced and qualified team.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Reporting to the Project Director, this role is responsible for looking after a diverse and complex property portfolio which consists of a scope of properties valued at over $30 Million; ranging from community facilities/buildings; parks, reserves; depots, corporate and commercial space, aquatic centres, and public domain leases

The Strategic Asset Manager is responsible for the portfolio’s Asset management plan, developing the asset maintenance regimes, maintaining the asset database and identifying or supporting asset replacement or renewal programs.

This role will also develop and maintain sustainability and utilities service plan and work with consultant partners to as required to ensure services are delivered and meet the council’s overall strategy and sustainability targets.

**ABOUT YOU**

You will preferably hold a tertiary qualification in Engineering, Asset Management, Property, or equivalent as well as have solid experience in a position with accountability for asset management and compliance planning and execution in a similar sized contract

Broad experience in the building, service, or FM industry and knowledge of building and service regulations and statutory obligations including engineering standards and codes of practice are ideal

**Other Requirements**
- Highly developed general business management skills, including finance and computer literacy
- Demonstrated analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to take on responsibility and use initiative to prioritise and work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Proven track record of developing and maintaining relationships across a broad range of individuals at all levels in organisations (internal and external)
- Highly developed communication skills including the ability to persuade and influence to obtain optimal outcomes
