Overview of the Role

The Strategic Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing the property management team and ensuring optimal performance of Stonewood Group's commercial and residential portfolios. This involves implementing strategies to enhance property values, optimize financial performance, and identify growth opportunities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Property Management & Team Leadership: Ensure smooth operations and company objectives
  • Strategic Property Repositioning: Enhance underperforming assets
  • Value Enhancement & Financial Performance: Increase NOI and asset value through cost savings, revenue generation, operational efficiencies, and high maintenance standards
  • Funding & Financial Solutions: Identify and secure cost-effective funding solutions
  • Leasing & Tenant Relations: Develop leasing strategies for optimal occupancy and tenant satisfaction
  • Project Management & Development: Oversee property upgrades and development projects

Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Property Management, Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • 8-10 years of experience in property management, asset management, or real estate investment, with a focus on value creation and securing funding
  • Proven track record of repositioning properties and enhancing asset value
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and capital planning
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, and communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of New Zealand property laws, lease agreements, and compliance requirements
  • Strategic mindset with an ability to identify growth opportunities and enhance value
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for relationship-building with tenants, financial partners, and stakeholders
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure with high integrity and professionalism

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
