- Lead the implementation of recognised good practice portfolio management frameworks, practices, tools, templates and ways of working, that are fit for purpose for our various portfolio management teams.
- Provide pragmatic, high-quality guidance and coaching to senior managers and other leaders on Portfolio Management and how it is practically applied to their work
- Lead the development and implementation of prioritisation frameworks, processes, and criteria to facilitate evidence-based decision-making
- Demonstrate ongoing clear alignment with Strategy through effective categorization and traceability of Change initiatives within the portfolio
- Responsible for shifting from static governance reporting to dynamic self-service insights from dashboard style reporting
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging practices, and technological advancements in portfolio management, proactively identifying improvement opportunities
- Participate and lead through change by thinking, acting and advocating the change

- Experience in engaging senior stakeholders (Executives and business sponsors) and supporting effective decision making
- Excellent knowledge of best practice Portfolio, Programme, and Project governance and assurance processes and frameworks.
- Strong ability to grasp complex business issues and contribute effective solutions to drive business success
- In depth understanding of the machinery of government and policy and processes
- Demonstrated ability to critically analyse and interpret complex information and make effective, well-reasoned decisions
- Demonstrable understanding and knowledge of the governance principles, legal framework, Treasury and Gateway requirements and public service reforms context that the Agency operates within.

You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
