Mō tēnei tūranga | About this roleThe Practice Lead, Portfolio Support Office (PSO) will
- lead and manage people, plans and resources to support the delivery of outcomes that are aligned to the Ministry's purpose and agreed strategies.
- be responsible for the delivery of training and guidance to PMOs and Portfolio, Programme and Project Management (P3M) community
- be the central point co-ordinating EPMO communications & engagement activities
- provide administrative support to the broader EPMO team.
- provide the ministry with Programme and Project related advice and support

You will be a master communicator and be able to tell the EPMO story and engage the ministry in our services we provide.
You will have experience operating in ambiguous environments and be able to come up with solutions to suit the customer need as it relates to the EPMO work programme.
You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori.
You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
You will also demonstrate:
- People leadership skills
- Strong communicator
- Stakeholder Engagement and Management
- Experience working in a PMO or EPMO is advantageous
- Project or Programme Management knowledge via experience in a like role (eg Project Manager, Programme Manager or Advisor roles).
- Prince2, MSP or Agile frameworks knowledge and experience
At Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga, we work to provide services and support nationally, regionally and locally to the education sector, and in some cases, directly to ākonga and whanau.
