About the role
As a Senior Advisor (EPMO), you will be leading key deliverables on the EPMO’s workplan to embed the EPMO function. You will be working across the entire breadth of the organisation, and with project managers developing key aspects of the project management framework. You will support the Principal Advisor (EPMO) to improve the organisation’s project management maturity, and to enable senior decision-making through monitoring, reporting, and the provision of advice.
What we’re looking for
- As a Senior Advisor you will be able to work autonomously and hit the ground running.
- You will be proactive to identify opportunities to develop, enhance and influence the capability of others.
- At least 5 years of experience either supporting the delivery of large projects and programmes of work, or in an EPMO or PMO.
- Relevant tertiary or project management professional qualification such as Prince2, Agile, or PMP.
- Resilience and ability to deal with ambiguity.
- Excellent influencing and relationship management skills and be able to quickly establish credibility and trust at all levels of the organisation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with good attention to detail.
- Experience of enterprise project monitoring and reporting, including using reporting tools such as Power BI.

The Civil Aviation Authority National Office is usually located in modern offices opposite the Wellington railway station. As a result of remedial earthquake strengthening work that needs to take place, our National office staff are currently working remotely and in temporary offices in central Wellington.
