Te Papa Atawhai, Department of Conservation (DOC) serves to protect and sustain nature across Aotearoa. We put nature and people at the heart of our mahi, guided by te reo Māori, te ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi. We do this by:

At DOC, we are building our capability within our Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO). The team are the custodians of the project management frameworks and manage the assurance of key documentation for project programs. We have a significant number of projects underway at any one time.

Please note, internally this position is titled ‘Portfolio Assurance Advisor'.

**He angitūtanga** | About the role**

You will primarily be involved in providing Assurance services for our projects and programmes, ensuring that the Governance documents are fit-for-purpose. You will help build our delivery capability for all things project
- and programme-orientated through:

- Coaching and guiding our project and programme people to achieve quality results
- Providing advice to front line and corporate staff who are managing projects and programmes
- Maintaining our delivery framework
- Collating and analysing information for our monthly report to the Senior Leadership Team each month
- Improving and enhancing the frameworks, processes, and templates that support the PMF
- Reviewing business cases to provide necessary assurance

If you have the following attributes, we are keen to hear from you:

- You may be a project manager looking to diversify your experience in to the EPMO space, or taking the step into industry after spending a few years within the Big 4 in the Risk & Assurance/Advisory space
- You'll have tertiary qualification in Finance/Economics/Business (or similar) and able to bring a pragmatic ‘systems thinking' view to your work
- Strong communication skills are a must, with the ability to manage relationships with ease
- You'll be adaptable, organised and able to manage multiple projects at any given time
- A basic knowledge of Project Management, Benefits Management, and Risk Leadership Frameworks
- Intermediate skills (and willingness to learn) reporting and data visualisation tools such as Power BI

The salary range for this position is $89,757 to $113,578 with the starting salary of the successful applicant being based on their relevant skills and experience.

Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory - this includes holding a valid work visa that covers the whole period of employment.
