This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week.
The remuneration range for this role is $122,111 to 172,393 (including KiwiSaver), depending on skills and experience.
The opportunity
Your chance to lead the asset service and performance team, who have the lead role in strategic asset planning activities for Wellington Water. The team is accountable for the development of best practice asset management activities for all of Wellington Water's managed assets on behalf of client councils. (Internally known as Team Leader Asset Service and Performance and reports to the Head of Service Planning).

**You will get to**:

- Provide leadership of development, implementation, and oversight of Wellington Water's Asset Management System
- Develop and implement asset performance monitoring approaches
- Set, refine, monitor service goal measures and targets, and act on results when required
- Work collaboratively across the organisation to deliver investigations and condition assessment programmes
- Provide team leadership and capability to engage with and influence outcomes across a growing organisation.

About you

**To be successful in this role you will bring**:

- A tertiary qualification in engineering, asset management, strategic planning, infrastructure development, economics or associated similar discipline
- At least seven to ten years' relevant work experience in an asset management rich environment
- Proven experience in developing best practice asset management strategies, frameworks, guidelines and initiatives using methodologies such as RCM, FMEA, asset criticality analysis, etc
- Project and programme management experience and a proven ability to deliver
- Familiar with the workings of regulated environments and industries
- Excellent presenting and facilitating skills for senior level discussion.
