**About the role**:
The Asset Management Technician takes a central role in overseeing the highway network, and coordinating the development of annual plans and forward works programs. This involves ensuring effective maintenance management and providing essential support to the wider team. Additionally, the technician is responsible for coordinating maintenance programs and asset management plans to align with our client’s outcomes and objectives, contributing to the ongoing success of their alliance.
**Day-to-day responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with asset managers and teams on maintenance and renewal programs.
- Provide support to Asset Managers and act as backup for the Asset Information Specialist.
- Assist in asset condition assessments as needed and offer logístical support for Asset Managers.
- Supervise design schedules and programs, assisting with the financial year program.
- Work with the Delivery Scheduler to identify long-term closures and clashes.
- Contribute to internal reviews, risk registers, and other Quality Assurance processes.
**About You**:
You will possess experience in planning and work scheduling, coupled with a demonstrated ability for effective time management. Strong communication skills, both internally and externally, are crucial. You should be adaptable and able to collaborate competently with individuals at all levels. Prior experience in roles responding to large emergency events within a CIMS Structure and a background in the contracting, traffic management, or related infrastructure industries would be highly valued.
**Skills/Experience Summary**
- Based in New Zealand with full working rights.
- Tertiary or technical qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience, with a preference for Transport/Roading, Project Management, or similar.
- Possession of a current and valid NZ Driver’s License.
- Proven experience in working with multiple clients and preparing scopes of work.
- Experience in planning and work scheduling is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with both external and internal stakeholders.
