As a member of the Charities Services Leadership Team reporting to the General Manager Charities Services this role is primarily accountable for the leadership and delivery of a diverse range of responsibilities including capability/ sector engagement, operations/customer support, business improvement, and systems and data analysis.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

- Contributing to the Charities Services strategic development and championing and leading the implementation of the engagement and capability plan(s) and new reporting standards.
- Leading the development and maintenance of effective relationships across a broad range of stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Contributing to the Charities Services strategic direction as a member of the senior leadership team.
- Providing strong operational leadership and strategic alignment to achieve the team and group deliverables.
- Leading the groups response and providing expertise to Parliamentary questions, OIA’s and Ministerial correspondence within the required timeframes.

Along with strong leadership experience, the successful applicant will have:

- Experience leading leaders’ responsible for functional delivery and the creation of a high performing team.
- Understanding of the political process and the role of public service regulator.
- The ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders at a range of levels both externally/internally.
- Well-honed strategic leadership skills.
- Effective communication skills both written and oral.
- Understanding of the machinery of government and the mechanisms of operating in this environment.
