Our Healthy Waters department has an exciting opportunity for a Customer Specialist to join the Healthy Waters Customer Communications team on a permanent full-time basis.

As the Customer Specialist you will provide excellent customer service skills that support the Healthy Waters Department to deliver consistent, professional and customer-centric service. The role supports the HW Customer Communications Team Manager and the Customer Communications team to set an example of excellent customer service for all Healthy Waters staff in all areas of our customer interactions and advocate for continued improvement

**He kōrero mōu: About you**
To be successful in this role you will be experienced in dealing with customers and comfortable dealing with escalated issues and complaints. You will also be open to upskill and learn technical information and translate that into accessible language for the public.

We are also looking for:

- 4 years plus experience in a customer service, relationship management, communications, public relations, or related role with transferable experience
- Experience dealing with public enquiries and finding solutions
- Desired but not essential - Experience with local government and associated political environment
- Desired Qualifications: Certificate in SAP (or other CRM management related qualifications), customer service, business management, humanities, public policy, communications or related discipline or equivalent experience
