The Auckland Council Geospatial team is passionate about transforming Auckland through the power of location intelligence and to this end operates an enterprise GIS that supports a number of exceptional products and solutions for Auckland Council and its customers. The Geospatial team aims to deliver a comprehensive, innovative and insightful capability that brings together location-based data, technology and techniques so our interesting range of customers can unlock value, solve complex problems, make better decisions and share, inform and collaborate with their stakeholders.

There is an excellent opportunity to join the Geospatial team as a Senior Geospatial Specialist within the Geospatial Platform and Support team; a high-performing, agile team that is responsible for delivering a robust, secure and well-maintained geospatial technology platform, supporting all geospatial products, solutions and services to the required organisational service levels.

Additionally, you will contribute to successful customer outcomes, providing quality advice regarding the use of our technology, data and techniques to solve business problems.

**He kōrero mōu**:About you**

You will be an energetic and experienced GIS professional that has 5+ years of demonstratable experience in using Esri (ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online) and Safe (FME) technologies, preferably in a large enterprise environment.

You should be able to demonstrate excellent customer service and problem-solving skills as well as have excellent verbal and written communications skills. You should be proactive in nature and have an inquisitive and constant improvement mindset. You will also have experience with Agile methodologies.

You should have a tertiary level qualification (bachelor’s degree minimum), preferably in Geospatial Information Systems, Computer Science or another strongly related field

Finally, you will be trusted to deliver outcomes and be given freedom to build and develop relationships with customers to give expert advice.

Working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday; you will have flexibility with how those hours are set. Some of our people begin early, some stay later, and remote working is an option too.
