Woods is a multi-disciplinary consultancy providing engineering, surveying, urban planning & design, and geospatial services to clients across a range of sectors.

The Woods Geospatial Services team is responsible for delivering on the complex geospatial needs of clients from sectors as diverse as transport, water, energy, telecommunications, land development, residential design and heritage. We aspire to be New Zealand’s leading high precision geospatial experts.

**Our unique capabilities**

We utilise some of the most advanced data acquisition technologies, including LiDAR laser scanning (across handheld, mobile, terrestrial and aerial platforms), photogrammetry, synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and ground penetrating radar (GPR), to develop high-precision survey-grade 3D geospatial models.

We specialise in extracting and delivering unique insights via our growing machine learning, data analytics and GIS toolsets. We are constantly looking to evolve our capabilities to answer the most demanding problems.

**The role**

We anticipate significant growth in our Geospatial Services team over the coming years. As a result, we currently have openings for 2 - 3 suitably qualified **Geospatial Specialists **to join us.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop alongside a supportive group of professionals operating at the cutting edge of the survey and geospatial professions.

**Your skills and experience**
- 5+ years field surveying experience (ideally tertiary qualified) with a solid understanding of survey techniques.
- Experience with LiDAR laser scanning (across one or more of handheld, mobile, terrestrial and aerial platforms).
- Experience with LiDAR and/or photogrammetry analysis, processing and production.
- Project management experience leading entire geospatial projects (from site capture through to processing and final deliverables).
- Experience in 3D modelling and BIM advantageous.
- Other skills and experience across the geospatial domain would be helpful e.g., UAV, video gaming engines, GIS, software development, AI/ML.
- An inquisitive problem-solving mindset.
- Capable working alone or within a team.
- A strong eye for detail and commitment to delivering the best outcomes for our clients.
- A desire to continually learn and develop.
