We are seeking a motivated geospatial analyst to join our dedicated maritime team to help grow our capability.
- You will also use your maritime geospatial expertise to provide quick turnaround support to the RNZN, to enable the fleet to operate safely using current charts, publications and other specialist data.

This role is suitable for both graduates and those with several years of geospatial experience.

You will have excellent time-management and communication skills, and develop the ability to provide maritime briefings to a wide range of personnel from NZDF, other government agencies and allied partners.
Above all, you will be keen to learn about the maritime geospatial domain and how you can use your skills to deliver high-quality geospatial support to the RNZN and NZDF, contributing to the success of a dynamic team, while developing your career in a unique environment.
A tertiary qualification in Geospatial Information Systems, hydrography or remote sensing, is highly desirable, and prior knowledge of the maritime environment (e.g. maritime jurisdiction, fisheries management and vessel movement) would be beneficial.

GEOINT New Zealand's (GNZ) role is to provide imagery and geospatial intelligence to NZDF, supporting policy, planning, operations and training in order to meet NZDF outputs. GNZ is also the national and international lead for Geospatial-Intelligence in New Zealand, providing imagery and geospatial intelligence to government departments and other customers.
