Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
The Land Squad has LINZ's capability to consistently manage important data such as LiDAR, Digital Elevation Models, and Imagery as well as future remote sensing data.
In this role you would except to;
- Manage and maintain large Raster and Vector datasets in a consistent way including Imagery, LiDAR and related datasets.
- Contributing to the quality and accessibility of Location Information data.
- Quality Assurance of datasets to agreed standards in the data specifications.
- Coordinate and collaborate with Local and Central government data users.
- Liaise with internal and external customers to either obtain datasets and or discuss and fulfil their data needs.
- Evaluate, Investigate, and implement opportunities to produce more fit for purpose products from the data.
He pūkenga tou - Skills & Experience
The skills you would bring to this role are;
- Possess a qualification or experience in Geospatial Sciences e.g. Geographic Information Systems.
- Demonstrate practical knowledge and experience of Geospatial data and data management principles.
- Awareness of data standards including metadata standards for geospatial information.
- Demonstrating knowledge and understanding of data manipulation and analysis
- Experience using geospatial tools.
- Possessing an understanding of scripting languages and familiarity with open-source geospatial tools.
- Ability to document technical processes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills that enable you to articulate complex technical matters to non-technical individuals.
- Ability to manage and build relationships with key stakeholders and customers.
**The annual salary range for this role is**: $76,981 to 86,000
