Technology Directorate, which serves GCSB, NZSIS and the wider NZIC, is at the forefront of this effort making sure our people are connected across the mission and have the information, tools and support they need to succeed.
The GCSB Information and Data Management team is expanding its contribution to our mission and we are in need of industrious, clever, capable and confident Information Management people to join our team and add their personal stamp to the management of information and data at GCSB. We are looking for people at both senior and advisor level.
You will have a background in information management and experience in administration and support for business and/or content management systems.
We will want you to use your information management skills to improve how we work. This might be:

- Designing and assisting with the building of business classification schemas
- Re-engineering information work processes to improve how staff work
- Undertaking and assisting with complex search activities.

**You would be ideal for this role if you**:

- Have experience in administering and supporting EDRMS or content management systems
- Understand information management principles and the legislation and standards that public sector offices in New Zealand must comply with
- Are able to provide practicable and implementable information management advice
- Have strong analysis and communication skills
- Enjoy learning new skills and are curious about finding out how things work and have a mind-set of continuous improvement
- Are a team player that works well with people across the business and is able to build and maintain effective relationships
- Can confidently implement retention and disposal decisions across electronic and paper information, records and data

Experience working with highly classified or sensitive information would also be a bonus as would having a qualification in Information, records or archives management.
