Our Information Lifecycle Management Team is one of the functions of the I&T Directorate at the Treasury. We support the Treasury and the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet to manage their business information by providing expert advice and customer focused tools and processes that are aligned with our Information Management strategy and policy.

**Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role**

We have a great opportunity for a talented **Information Management Advisor** to join the Information Lifecycle Management team on a fixed-term basis. You will be involved in key pieces of work to help deliver day-to-day services and as well as embedding new initiatives.

A typical workday could include activities like:

- Updating the configuration of our EDMS to support staff needs or organisational changes,
- Delivering training on how to use our information systems,
- Engaging with business teams to facilitate information disposal,
- Supporting business requests to search for historical information,
- Cataloguing records in preparation for destruction.

You are an experienced, enthusiastic and proactive Information Management advisor with a broad range of experience.

You will enjoy responsibility and variety, and you will:

- Be an experienced and innovative information management advisor, who can influence in a confident manner, and be willing to challenge how we do things and promote improvements in ways that benefit our internal customers,
- Be aware of emerging trends in data and information management, and be willing to share your knowledge and experience,
- Have a good understanding of the Public Records Act 2005 and other legislation and standards relating to the management of information and data,
- Have proven yourself as someone who enjoys delivering service from the lens of a customer,
- Be someone who establishes and manages effective relationships with a variety of customers/groups and key internal and external stakeholders.
