From the best way to develop farmland, build a new suburb, manage a high-country farm or navigate on land or at sea, our work and location information help people make better decisions and create economic, social, environmental and cultural value for New Zealand.
The Knowledge Advisor role is responsible for managing and developing Toitū Te Whenua library services and providing information management and Library customer services to staff. By doing so, you'll contribute directly to helping staff discover and make the best use of information and data as a strategic resource empowering the agency.
As an effective communicator you take responsibility for customer enquiries providing high quality advice demonstrating a positive and proactive approach to the delivery of an exemplar customer centric service. Working within a team of Information Management specialists you will become a system expert providing consistently excellent customer service. You will pro-actively identify opportunities for process improvements and follow through on these as appropriate. You will work with the Manager Knowledge Leadership to ensure the library collection, library database (Liberty), and library subscriptions are well managed and forecasts are accurate.
With your understanding of NZ Government record keeping requirements and legislation, you'll join a small but supportive team and assist your Knowledge Management colleagues in supporting Toitū Te Whenua LINZ to effectively use other Knowledge Management information resources such as Objective, and Promapp. You'll balance your technical skills with your commitment to providing excellent customer service as you work with the wider Knowledge Management team.

We're looking for a customer focused professional who enjoys ‘going the extra mile'. You'll be strongly web-literate and adept at using a range of online information resources. Ideally, you'll have a tertiary qualification in librarianship, records or knowledge management.

**The annual salary range for this role is**: $76,126-$89,560 depending on skills and experince.
