**The Opportunity**

We are currently seeking for an experienced **Senior Contracts Administrator**. Based in **Wellington**, **New Zealand,** you will be joining our high-performing and growing team, to support the projects within our **Digital, Infrastructure and Signalling** business. You will be working in close collaboration with the Project Director and core project team and providing guidance and leadership to develop, implement, and drive contract/claim management and risk mitigation strategies in accordance with Alstom’s business objectives. Your key responsibilities include:

- Contributing to the preparation of the Contract Summary and ensuring it is widely communicated and regularly updated.
- Contributing to the preparation of the Contract Management Strategy Plan (CMSP) and ensuring it is updated on a quarterly basis.
- Monitoring works toward contract obligations, including monitoring of project schedule toward achieving contractual milestones.
- Ensuring timely issuance of contractual notices to customers/partners.
- Establishing and implementing project specific commercial procedures, particularly regarding correspondences, notifications, insurance, variation requests/orders and claims preparation files.
- Developing project specific processes and ways of working for contract/claim management.
- Providing advice on specific issues, risks, and contractual/claims activities, taking into account the contract and business objectives.
- Reporting on contract management and claims activities to the project, and Legal, and Contract Management teams.
- Providing training on contract/claim management to key stakeholders, including project management, finance, engineering, and sourcing communities.

**About You**

We are seeking a proactive individual with a strong background in project focused contract management. You will also have:

- The proven ability to read and interpret contractual documents, including terms and conditions, planning, and technical specifications.
- The ability to understand project financials and the impact of contract/claim management on project’s profitability.
- Review of head contracts to ensure all contractual procedures are implemented and maintained.
- Ensure all warranties, bonds, insurances, guarantees, etc. are in place, maintained and updated in accordance with the contract and follow client requirements.
- Demonstrated experience providing commercial guidance to senior stakeholders in a commercial complex environment.
- Significant experience in similar roles working on construction projects in **New Zealand or Australia.**:

- Degree in Law or Engineering is preferred, but not essential.
