Due to exciting project wins and continuing growth across the motu, we’re looking for a hands-on Senior Contracts Manager to join our independent and specialised Engineer to Contract team in Auckland. This is a Senior position where you’ll have a regional project and people focus, as well as the scope to really add value to the team through mentoring and knowledge sharing.

As a Senior Contracts Manager, you’ll have an in-depth knowledge of NZS3910 and be great at solving puzzles - reviewing and making decisions on some complex work, with the added challenge of retaining impartiality. You’ll be excited by the challenge and pace of this unique role.

**The Role**

As Senior Contracts Manager, you will support the Engineer to Contract (EtC) Lead with the provision of EtC service to our clients. You’ll be hands-on in leading a team, and have responsibility for delivering consistent and accurate contract management and administration services, including the drafting and issuing of contract instructions, management of variations, accessing EOT claims and monthly payment claims processes.

You’ll proactively manage client relationships and be involved in establishing new business.

**Here’s what we need from you**:

- Relevant qualifications at a tertiary level such as Construction Management (QS/Economics), Construction Law or similar.
- Detailed knowledge and the preparation of robust contract documents, contract administration, correspondence and reporting. In depth experience working with, and knowledge of NZS3910 contracts and the Construction Contracts Act.
- Experience working in the construction industry and understanding of the responsibilities and obligations of the parties involved in the project.
- Experience as an Engineers representative, EtC or QS having managed NZS3910 contracts.
- An understanding of and ability to action complex contractual instructions.
- The ability to juggle and manage more than one assignment at a time. Management of multiple contracts, including the management of the team on multiple contracts.
- The ability to travel and be away overnight from time to time
- Experience in leading a team and knowledge sharing.
- Maintain a high degree of integrity with a keen sense of the need to maintain confidence.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience in chairing meetings.
- Excellent communication and engagement skills, both verbally and in writing.
