About the role:
We have an opportunity for an experienced Customer Researcher to join us. This is a critical role to support the continued development and implementation of the Genesis market research programme so that it provides timely and relevant customer insights to inform business decision making. You stay abreast of industry trends and the competitive landscape, you know how to provide actionable insights and recommendations and inform product positioning and strategy.

Key responsibilities:

- Deliver effective and timely research support for the Genesis Retail team and other teams across the wider business as required..
- Design and execute surveys and interviews to gather quantitative and qualitative data, ensuring a deep understanding of customer perspective.
- Develop and maintain partnerships and relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Provide leadership and mentoring for the Genesis Retail team in best-practice research techniques to understand the customer.
- Prioritise and shape research that improves the customer experience.
- Support the delivery of increasingly granular approaches to customer segmentation and persona development for Genesis' retail brands to increase likelihood of successful strategy delivery.

About you:
We are looking for someone who is naturally inquisitive with a strong customer focus, who is motivated by the possibility of broadening their skills, learning about the wider business and driving outcomes. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are a must. To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively with team members and other business stakeholders. Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and requests simultaneously are key requirements for this role.

Other key skills and experience will include:

- A relevant Tertiary qualification or equivalent business / industry experience in a related discipline
- Ideally 5 plus years' experience gained in a similar research role.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills, including experience in questionnaire design and report-writing.
- Outstanding communication style and skilled at presenting complex information to diverse audiences.
- Ability to interpret research data and provide actionable insights to inform business decision making.
