Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Toitū Te Whenua is seeking a Senior Information Management Specialist to be an integral part of the Knowledge Management Team in Wellington.
We are looking for a passionate individual with strong ECM and M365 system administration and governance skills who can spearhead a new information governance approach while sustaining the great work of those who came before. This is a hands-on role that will provide a glimpse into the inner workings of a complex agency. There will be a focus on working alongside internal customers to better understand what they are seeking to achieve and to guide them on that journey. You'll thrive on driving our improvements in the governance of our M365 and Objective platforms with an exciting programme of delivery over the next 12 months which will add value to all members of the LINZ whānau.
**The role will involve**:
- The excitement of navigating an ever changing and complex information environment
- Information Monitoring, auditing and reporting
- The management, support and administration of key systems (Objective ECM, Objective Connect and GOV365) and M365
- Governance of M365 and MS Teams (configuring provisioning, DLP, sensitivity labels etc)
- Supporting internal customers
- Building rich and rewarding internal relationships
- Successfully representing and presenting IM and IG concepts
- Embracing the cloud
- Leveraging and articulating an excellent working knowledge of the Public Records Act 2005 and Archives New Zealand regulatory requirements and guidance
He pūkenga tou - Skills & Experience
- Have a relevant tertiary qualification.
- Hands on M365 Purview skills
- Excellent understanding of the implications of government policy and initiatives on records management; in-depth knowledge of the Public Records Act (2005), the Archives NZ Information & Records Management Standard (2016), the Privacy Act (2020) and the Official Information Act (1982).
- Expertise in managing and developing enterprise content management (ECM) systems including technical systems management, analytical skills to develop creative solutions within the information management framework, and a high level of computer literacy, particularly with cloud-based systems.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver a leadership role to encourage highly effective cross-functional teams to develop, deliver, and implement information governance and management initiatives.
- Excellent communication and organisation skills, including the ability to collaborate with staff at all levels across the institution, and with outside organisations and vendors.
- Be able to work collaboratively in a complex and changing environment.
**The annual salary range for this role spans**: $125,000 to $146,335 based on skills and experience.
