**Communication, Navigation & Surveillance (CNS) Technician**:

Airways provides air traffic management services across 30 million square kilometres - this is one of the largest areas of airspace in the world. Within New Zealand, we operate aerodrome control services and flight information services in 19 locations throughout the country.
First and foremost, we enable air traffic management, keeping travellers safe in the skies. Beyond this, the smart technologies we employ bring a real difference to our airline and airport customers.
**The focus of this team is**
The Technology Group is responsible for the effective delivery, management and servicing of all technology disciplines within the air navigation services environment - engineering design, software design and development, technology architecture and infrastructure, asset management, installation and maintenance, technical training, workload planning, maintenance program development, project management, and logistics support.
**The role and experience**
You will be a highly self-motivated, fit, technically competent and quality-focused technician who will specialise in CNS equipment disciplines. The focus of your role will be fault rectification, preventative maintenance and installation of CNS equipment.
Experience in buildings and site maintenance work, contract management and delivering to external customers expectations would be desirable. Operational and situational safety awareness and personal health will be indoctrinated into your make-up. You also need to be comfortable climbing structures to work at heights or in remote locations in a variety of weather conditions.
