**Overview of the Company**:
A small and fast growing government organisation that protects the safety of members of the public by ensuring that when social workers come onto the register, they are competent, fit to practise, and will be accountable for the way in which they practise, and to enhance the professionalism of social workers.

**About the role**:
This is a newly created position that reports to the Deputy Registrar and ensures that all complaints are processed in an efficient ways and assess high risk cases are identified and actioned promptly. This individual will lead the receiving, assessing and processing complaints using a risk and legislative based lens.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Develop and build effective working relationships with stakeholders and internal staff.
- Prepares the complaints for the Board Professional Standards Committee.
- Prepare the complaint for a decision from the Board Professional Standards Committee.

**Key Requirements**:

- Effectively manage risks and escalate risks and propose appropriate mitigation where necessary.
- Understanding of the law and legislation.
- Experience in supporting complaints processes (preferred)
